Pune is absolutely wonderful in what it offers in terms of cultural, social, intellectual and spiritual stimulus. Pune is full of art galleries, offering well-known and upcoming artists a platform to showcase their work. There are also a large number of museums, namely, Babasaheb Ambedkar museum, Mahatma Phule museum, the Kelkar museum and many others that not only document the life-cycle of Maharashtra, but also of those who helped shape the State.

Pune hosts a bunch of exciting festivals around the year, like the sawai gandharva festival with performances by musical greats such as Pt. Bhimsen Joshi, Pt. Jasraj, Girija Devi and many, many others. Pune is home to the International Film Festival that features some of the greatest movies from around the world. There is also the famous Jazz festival that local and international jazz musicians attend without fail. There are many auditoriums staging eclectic plays, dance and music acts, and once a year Pune holds the prestigious Purushotam Karandak theatre competition, attracting upcoming theatre groups from all over Maharashtra.

When it comes to celebrations and having fun, there is hardly any city as lively as Pune. Be it the fun-filled Dahi Handi that celebrates the birth of Lord Krishna to Ganesh Chaturthi to Shiv Jayanti, the passion of Marathi men and women is seen in the way they dance and sing on the streets.

Pune is also the abode of one of the finest acting and direction schools in India and the world, the Film and Television Institute of India or the FTII that has over the years produced luminaries who have made their mark on the silver screen.

Pune is a lovely city with beautiful roads, warm people, and a rich mix of traditional and contemporary beliefs and values, Pune welcomes people from far and wide, providing them with a ‘home-like' environment.

Pune offers a cosmopolitan, creatively stimulating, eclectic environment. You'll love it.
