This seminar will be an interactive journey into the world of retail design and strategy.

Facilitators
Rodney Fitch CBE pp CSD pp DAD. Founded the worldwide design agency, Fitch, in 1972 and was that company’s Chairman and CEO until 2009. He is one of the worlds leading design and branding strategists and foremost retail designers. His client portfolio includes many significant global retailers and he has recently worked successfully with Indian and overseas clients in the emerging Indian retail economy.

Raphaël van Amerongen 

CEO of Studio Merkx + Girod and Associate of ASWA-architects. In the mid 90’s he developed the Master course in Retail Design at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam in response to both growing market requirements and academic questioning. For 11 years he was the managing director of this course. Currently a staff member of the School of Industrial Design Engineering, Delft University of Technology, and course director Retail Design & Management Program at TopTech.

Michel Van Tongeren 

Owner, SVT Branding + Design Group. Brand strategy, concepting and design are at the core of his business. His company specializes in consumer environments and retail development. He is the author of book 'Retail Branding; form Stopping Power to Shopping Power. Tutor at the Piet Zwart Institute, Retail Design Masters Tutor at the TU Delft and TopTech, Retail Design Masters. Lecturer at many places e.g. Nijenrode University, Eurib master of design management, and international equivalents. He specializes in strategy, concepting, design for retail, consumer environments, physical or virtual.
